The layout of the space is quite straightforward, with most of the natural light coming in from one side. We've demolished the original close-off kitchen to open up sightlines and create better flow. Thus, the open kitchen also solving the issue of a cramped corridor. We've repurposed the guest room for versatile uses. When the doors are open, there is more light streaming into the corridor and kitchen area, breaking up the long facade visually. The room is mainly where their kid stays, engaging with the living and dining spaces to form a dynamic triangle of interaction.
Functionality-wise, we've kept things simple with a few distinct zones, but we've paid close attention to the details to keep the material combinations interesting without going overboard. Wood veneer as the main material, complemented by darker hues, warm tones, and subtle stone patterns to give the space a calm and inviting vibe.
